Not sure if I should be insulted
The entirety of an email from the customer service email address of a company I just placed an order with:

Very funny. I didn’t mention it before, but I actually don’t refer to you by your last name in the presence of children or the elderly.
BTW, what the heck does “outband” mean? Perhaps they felt the need to insert a made-up word to qualify “profanities”, since clearly much of their filtering dictionary is not actually profanity. Or maybe they meant “outbound”? Max

Hah, good catch - I skimmed over it and thought it said “outbound”.
The more I think about it, the less the whole thing makes any sense at all. Why would you set up a process that prevents emails with “obscenities” from getting to their recipient, but then goes ahead and sends the intended recipient a message INCLUDING the objectionable content?
In any event, minutes later another email arrived from said company, confirming my order AND including my last name. The insult!
